As a mental performance consultant, Dr. Gabriela Caviedes provides mental skills training to athletes, coaches, and teams ranging from youth to collegiate and elite levels. She also works with parents, professionals, and organizations to enhance performance, build resilience, and develop leadership capacity.
Gabriela has supported athletes across a variety of sports and has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to promote growth and well-being. Gabriela earned her Ph.D. in Sport Psychology from Florida State University, where her research focused on athlete recovery and mental rest, and her M.S. in Sport Psychology from FSU. She is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. Previously, she has worked with IMG Academy+ and Florida State University (FSU) athletic programs. Originally from Texas, Gabriela enjoys traveling, exploring new coffee shops, working out, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves being outdoors, especially going on nature walks with her dogs.
