Thomas focuses on pass-through entities, closely held businesses and high net-worth individuals. As a member of the firm’s Closely Held Business and Family Wealth Services group, he provides holistic tax planning and compliance services to businesses and their owners to ensure that customer objectives are met. Thomas has extensive experience in providing tax services to partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates and individuals. He has assisted customers with complex estate and gift tax planning to effectively transfer wealth over multiple generations. This planning includes the formation and operation of closely held entities, such as family limited partnerships and LLCs and the utilization of grantor and non-grantor trusts to minimize both estate and income taxes. Additionally, Thomas assists customers with their charitable planning to maximize the tax benefit of charitable contributions, including the formation of private foundations and donor advised funds.


Previously, Thomas worked for a fourth generation family business and is sensitive to the various challenges and opportunities family businesses face in today’s environment.
