Shahzad is a Director in the AI Strategy & Execution practice at Elliott Davis, where he turns AI strategy into working systems. A former principal software engineer, he leads the architecture and delivery of AI agents and knowledge systems, taking clients from experimentation to production. He believes the hardest part of AI isn't the technology. It's changing how people work.
Before joining the firm, Shahzad spent more than a decade leading transformation for Fortune 100 and 500 companies and the U.S. Department of Defense, including the Air Force and Space Force. Most recently, he guided a 6,500-engineer IT organization through its shift to high-performing product teams, work recognized with the Tony Hsieh Award for workplace innovation at TED2025.
