Shahzad is a technology leader with more than a decade of experience transforming how organizations build software and use their own information. He works at the intersection of engineering, strategy, and organizational change, and enjoys turning emerging technology into decisions leaders can act on. As a leader in the firm's AI Strategy & Execution practice, he helps clients move from experimentation to production with the governance and capability to sustain it.
Shahzad believes transformation is a human problem before it is a tooling problem. He embeds with teams, works in small slices, and measures what changes, building internal capability that outlasts the engagement rather than dependency on outside help.
Previously, Shahzad led transformation efforts for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 organizations, the United States Air Force, the United States Space Force, and the Department of Defense. He most recently led an enterprise-wide engineering transformation that restructured a 6,500-engineer IT organization into high-performing product teams. Earlier in his career, he held senior and principal software engineering, and training roles delivering production systems at enterprise scale, and designed technical curriculum for Galvanize, Hack Reactor, General Assembly, and The Iron Yard.
