Professional Overview

Will is a state and local tax professional with over eight years of public accounting experience. Specializing in sales and use taxes, income taxes, and state credits and incentives, he assists customers with all of their complex state and local tax needs. Will’s experience includes sophisticated state nexus reviews, managing state voluntary disclosure projects, assisting customers with state tax audits, providing state tax planning guidance, and helping customers capture valuable state tax credits and incentives

He has also assisted customers in becoming compliant with state regulations related to sales and use taxes resulting from the Wayfair v. South Dakota Supreme Court decision of 2018; this assistance generally involves educating customers on their responsibilities regarding registration and reporting requirements.

Prior to joining Elliott Davis, Will was a senior associate in the Federal Tax practice at an international accounting firm. He also spent two years as an accounting intern with a national construction engineering firm at a large nuclear development project in South Carolina.
