The technology part of your business systems is what will speed up your processes and allow for a fast-paced work environment. Technology is the enabler you need to automate and push your company to the next level. But how do you clarify what type of technology you need? The options, the types, the sources, the security, the cost, the usage, the speed of change, etc., there are so many variables to consider in your research that choosing technology can be challenging.

Customer’s case: “We believed moving our prior systems to a big ERP was the right move. Seven months later we realized the mistake in deploying a new ERP without proper guidance. We need help to get back to what we had.”

We often see cases where businesses research and decide about technology on their own, to keep costs low. Sometimes this can work great, but many times, this gets even more expensive. Researching for technology is not an easy task. The volume of options in the market drives confusion and we see that businesses have a hard time understanding what the technology can and will do for them. It may be great for one area while negatively affecting others. Without a clear picture of what the technology will do, businesses risk increasing inefficiencies, driving frustration, and losses to their bottom line.

It is important to remember that technology will not address a broken system. It only works if processes are well defined, so that technology can make the processes more efficient and dependable.
