Jeremy Migliara is a state and local tax professional with more than 25 years in the accounting profession, both in public accounting and industry. He has serviced clients in a variety of industries, including government contracting, technology, manufacturing and distribution, financial services, and not-for-profit. He regularly consults with multistate taxpayers in addressing technical state tax issues in the areas of income and franchise tax, sales and use tax, property tax, employment tax and state credits. His experience includes managing state tax compliance for U.S. consolidated groups, managing state tax audits, performing ASC 740 and ASC 450 reviews, performing due diligence reviews, assisting taxpayers with recovering tax refunds, researching and drafting technical matrices and memoranda, and providing state tax planning.
Prior to joining Elliott Davis, Jeremy managed the Mid-Atlantic state and local tax practices at two non-big four international accounting firms. He also worked for two Fortune 500 companies where he handled the state tax compliance and planning for complex affiliated groups. He launched his career at a big four firm where he managed multistate tax projects and advised clients on state tax compliance and planning, restructuring, state audits and controversy.
