CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 28, 2016) – Elliott Davis Decosimo is pleased to announce the firm was recently presented with the Associate Award by the Tennessee Association of Manufacturers (TAM). This special recognition award honors the efforts of an Elliott Davis Decosimo team led by Shareholder Jennifer Goodman for periodic consultations on accounting, tax preparation and associated services provided to TAM, as well as the firm’s continued support of the manufacturing community. TAM Director of Operations Megan King and TAM President Tim Spires made the special presentation during the 2016 Manufacturing Excellence Awards luncheon held in Chattanooga.
“Elliott Davis Decosimo has been a strong fixture in their field of service for many years,” said King. “The firm and their professionals recognize the vital work of TAM and more importantly, the value of the manufacturing community in the economic well-being of Tennessee. Without contributions of time and all forms of support we receive from our many members, we would not be able to provide the level of services we desire for our membership. Through sound accounting practices and top-flight professionalism, Elliott Davis Decosimo has been a valuable asset in advising our staff to always maintain strong accounting practices.”
Goodman has extensive expertise in the manufacturing industry and has worked to support TAM for more than 20 years. As a shareholder in Elliott Davis Decosimo’s Chattanooga office, Goodman serves domestic and international manufacturing clients with annual revenues approximating $1.8 billion. Although she works in many subsectors of manufacturing, her focus is on the baked foods, industrial machinery and apparel industries.
“The Tennessee Association of Manufacturers is an important organization that provides a wide range of support in representing the interests of its membership. Elliott Davis Decosimo is proud to have built a strong working relationship with TAM over many years, and we are honored to be chosen as the recipient of TAM’s Associate Award,” said Goodman. “We have a great team working with TAM’s staff to assist in addressing the organization’s accounting and tax needs. TAM collaborates with our team in a way that makes the work enjoyable and rewarding. We look forward to supporting TAM for many years to come.”
“The Associate Award earned by Jennifer Goodman and her team is a prime example of carrying forward the firm’s mission of making a positive impact in the communities that we serve,” said the firm’s Practice Leader for Manufacturing & Distribution Eric Schmid. “We are proud of their efforts and the relationship they built through the years with a group that is dedicated to addressing the needs of manufacturers throughout the state of Tennessee.”
