Claudia Gibbons, CPA
With more than 25 years of public accounting experience, Claudia serves as the firm’s Professional Practice Group Director for Tax Services. As Professional Practice Director, her overall focus is the design and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure quality and compliance with the applicable professional standards, regulatory requirements and the firm’s standards. Claudia’s specific Professional Practice Group responsibilities include the development, dissemination and training of the firm’s tax and ethical standards, administration of the firm’s internal tax quality review process, communication and consultation on technical, quality control and risk issues, and assisting with the development and administration of the firm’s risk management policies and procedures.
Prior to serving as Professional Practice Group Director, Claudia served closely held businesses and their owners by providing comprehensive tax compliance and planning services to a diverse client base which included restaurants, retailers, professional services companies, family limited partnerships, trusts, estates and various other industries.
Prior to joining Elliott Davis Decosimo, Claudia was a Tax Supervisor for a Southeast accounting firm where she concentrated in closely held businesses, partnerships, medical practices and oil and gas partnerships.
