How do I enter South Carolina’s Fastest Growing Companies? Complete the entry form and email to fastest@elliottdavis.com before May 16,2008. You will receive confirmation your entry was received and is complete. Elliott Davis will contact you during the summer to invite you to the awards presentation luncheon if your company will be included on the list.
How long will it take to complete the entry? We provide a worksheet for you or your company’s CFO to complete. The worksheet requires financial reporting of your company’s performance over the previous fiscal year, including asset growth, revenue growth and increase in the number of full-time employees. We also need basic company information, including the location of headquarters and key contacts. Time needed to complete the entry should be minimal; view our entry form for more details.
When will I find out if my company has won? Winners will be notified during the summer and invited to an awards luncheon, to be held in November of 2008. The order of winners will be announced at the luncheon.
How are winners chosen? Elliott Davis uses an objective formula to determine the winners. The formula takes into account increases in gross revenue (or assets) and increases in full-time employment in the most recently completed fiscal year as compared to the previous year end. Actual number of increased revenue and employment are also considered to fairly compare the field of different sized companies. For a more complete description of these criteria, view our rules & regulations.
Is it necessary to enter, or will successful companies be automatically considered? Because Elliott Davis uses an objective formula and self-reported data to determine winners, it’s necessary for each company interested in the award to enter. Our entry form requires only basic financial and company data, and should be relatively simple to complete.
My company is small – am I eligible? As long as a company reports $3 million or more in revenues over the fiscal year under consideration, the company is eligible.
Must a company be headquartered in South Carolina to be eligible? Companies based elsewhere with South Carolina operations are eligible for South Carolina’s Fastest Growing Companies. However, all financial data reported, including revenue and number of employees, must only be what is generated by business units or branches physically located in South Carolina.
