ULI South Carolina and Elliott Davis Team Up for Real Estate Seminar

GREENVILLE, S.C., Nov. 4, 2009 – The Urban Land Institute (ULI) South Carolina and Elliott Davis, LLC are pleased to announce their partnership on an upcoming real estate seminar on November 11th at the Hilton-Greenville Hotel in Greenville, S.C.

The event, which is intended for real estate developers, investors and other real estate professionals, will begin with ULI Senior Fellow Stephen Blank presenting “Emerging Trends in Real Estate® 2010.” Blank will give an overview of the 2010 outlook findings and host a lively discussion on trends and issues from a response panel of top industry leaders. “Our goal is help attendees gain an understanding of U.S. investment and development trends, which will better equip them for decisions in the year ahead,” said Paige King, ULI South Carolina Executive Director.

Immediately following ULI’s presentation, Elliott Davis will host “Real Estate Industry Spotlight 2009” which will feature various local and national speakers on current real estate issues. Topics will include: capital markets and real estate financing, barriers to redevelopment, new market tax credits, and maturity defaults.

“We’ll be exploring the recession’s economic impact on the real estate market, as well as discussing how to utilize available new market tax credits to finance qualifying projects,” said Mark Cooter, Shareholder and Chair of Elliott Davis’ Real Estate Practice.

This instructor-led program will offer approximately 7.5 credit hours of continuing professional education.
