Managing Shareholder Rick Davis Named to South Carolina Chamber Board of Directors
COLUMBIA, S.C., Jan. 23, 2012 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, is pleased to announce that Firm Managing Shareholder Rick Davis has been named to the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 2011-12.
The state’s largest statewide broad-based business and industry trade association representing more than 18,000 businesses and more than one million employees, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce aims to enhance quality of life for all South Carolinians. Davis is one of 56 members of its current board.
“I am honored to serve alongside such a dedicated and dynamic group of leaders who are all committed to a common goal,” said Davis.
For four years, Davis has been the managing shareholder of Elliott Davis, having spent his 27-year career at the firm. Under his leadership, Elliott Davis has expanded into new markets; experienced record revenue growth; and become a known advocate for economic development. He was recently named “Business Person of the Year” by Greenville Business Magazine.
In addition to his board seat with the Chamber, Davis serves on boards of directors for the Upstate SC Alliance, Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Foundation, Greenville County Museum of Art, and Clemson University’s College of Business and Behavioral Sciences Senior Advisors.
