McDonough, a senior manager in Elliott Davis’ Greenville office, received the award yesterday at the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA) Women in Leadership conference in Columbia, S.C. “Debbie makes things happen,” said Mike McGuigan, managing shareholder of Elliott Davis’ Greenville, S.C. office. “She’s a focused, energetic leader and will be an important part of our firm’s future.”
A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the SCACPA, McDonough serves as Elliott Davis’ technical leader for partnership tax and consulting issues, as well as like kind exchanges. She currently chairs the firm’s Women in Leadership initiative and was a founding member of its Parent Connections committee.
In the community, McDonough served on the steering committee for Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) as it formed a new Greenville, S.C. chapter in February. She currently serves as CREW’s membership chair and sponsorship chair and is president-elect for 2011. In addition, she is active with Urban Land Institute and her alma mater Clemson University.
