Elliott Davis Senior Manager Named among Greenwood’s “Under 40 Stars”

GREENWOOD, S.C., Sept. 24, 2010 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, is pleased to announce that senior manager Jim Manley has been named among Greenwood’s “Under 40 Stars.”

Manley, a certified public accountant, received the honor at the 1st annual awards ceremony on Sept. 23 held at Greenwood Country Club.

Established by Connect Young Professionals, an initiative of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce, the Under 40 award honors emerging leaders who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, excel in their profession, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and serve as a role model for other young professionals.

“Jim is a rising star. He continually demonstrates that he is a capable, determined leader in his practice, the community and among his peers and colleagues,” said Charles Schulze, managing shareholder for the Greenwood office of Elliott Davis.

With 16 years of public accounting experience, Manley leads his office’s accounting resources practice. He also provides assurance services to clients across a wide range of industries including governmental entities, manufacturing and distribution, contractors and closely-held businesses. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

In the community, Manley serves as board treasurer for the Greenwood Arts Council and as president of the Emerald City Rotary Club. He is also active with a number of other local organizations.
