Elliott Davis Named Among “Healthiest Employers of Greater Charlotte”
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Mar. 31, 2011 – Elliott Davis, PLLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, is pleased to announce that it has been named among the “Healthiest Employers of Greater Charlotte” by the Charlotte Business Journal.
The inaugural awards event honoring the area’s most outstanding health and wellness programs was held today at the Charlotte Convention Center. Elliott Davis was recognized as a finalist in the medium-sized company category.
The firm, which has 60 employees in Charlotte, currently offers free annual clinical health assessments, coupled with various office-based employee programs, such as on-site group fitness, as well as competitions and challenges.
“We have been offering free clinical health assessments across our 10 office footprint for the past three years,” said Bob Wilson, chief human resources officer for Elliott Davis. “Our people are busy with their clients, families and communities. We don’t want their health to take a back seat, which is why we provide these screenings and programs in the workplace.”
Elliott Davis employees who participate in the annual screenings receive premium discounts on their health insurance. They also receive personal consultations by healthcare professionals.
“We have numerous success stories that have resulted from our wellness initiatives,” said Wilson. “The momentum is strong and we are excited about the future.”
