Elliott Davis, LLC Promotes Biscopink To Principal
GREENVILLE, S.C., Jan. 30, 2009 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, has promoted Kay Biscopink to principal of the firm. Located in the firm’s Greenville, S.C. office, Biscopink is a licensed CPA in South Carolina and Oklahoma with more than 20 years of experience. In her new position, she will continue to lead Elliott Davis’ international tax practice, offering tax knowledge and resources on inbound and outbound tax issues to multinational clients.
“Under Kay’s leadership, the international tax practice has become an integral part of Elliott Davis’ service offerings,” said Shareholder John Otten. “Kay shares our commitment to excellence and has a proven record of developing strong client relationships worldwide. We’re delighted to appoint Kay as principal and look forward to her continued success with the firm,” added Otten.
Elliott Davis’ international tax practice delivers a broad range of services designed to help companies and individuals integrate tax planning into their business strategy and comply with the complexities of foreign tax and regulatory rules.
“Elliott Davis’ international tax practice is particularly beneficial to our Southeast offices due to the large number of local corporations investing overseas, and for foreign companies investing in the Southeast,” said Biscopink. “Not only do we help clients understand domestic and foreign tax issues, but we also advise them regarding import/export planning, transfer pricing and other essential compliance issues – all critical elements for survival in a new economy,” added Biscopink.
Prior to joining Elliott Davis in 2008 as senior tax manager for international tax services, Biscopink was employed as a tax specialist for Arthur Andersen LLP in Oklahoma City where she focused on providing international tax planning and compliance services.
Biscopink earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma, a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Kentucky, and a master’s degree in science from the University of Louisville. She is a member of the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
