Elliott Davis, LLC Adds Five in Charleston Office

CHARLESTON, S.C., Apr. 24, 2009 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, announces the addition of Virginia Allen, Andrew Davis, Tobey Eskew, Kris Reed and Edward Royall in the firm’s Charleston office.

Virginia M. Allen joins the Charleston office as staff accountant for audit and assurance services. Allen received a bachelor’s degree from William Smith College in Geneva, N.Y., and a master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Charleston. She is a member of the Mu Beta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, and is the recipient of the following awards: College of Charleston 2008 Student Employee of the Year, Becker Scholarship for Success, Institute of Managerial Accountants’ Most Outstanding Cost or Managerial Accounting Student 2007, and the Institute of Managerial Accountants’ 2008 scholarship award.

Andrew Davis joins the office’s audit department as an assurance and advisory services senior. Previously, he worked in the firm’s Columbia office. Davis, a certified public accountant (CPA) in South Carolina, has more than four years audit experience for clients in the construction, non-profit, healthcare, housing and urban development (HUD), manufacturing, information technology and insurance industries. Davis received a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C., and a master’s degree in accountancy from the College of Charleston. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Davis was initiated by the Mu Beta chapter of Beta Alpha Psi at the College of Charleston as a charter member for outstanding business professionals for his efforts in helping support the accounting society’s foundation.

Tobey Eskew joins the Charleston office as audit senior manager. Previously, he worked in the firm’s Columbia office. Eskew, a certified public accountant and certified fraud examiner, has more than a decade of experience in financial institution auditing, SEC reporting; compliance with Sarbanes Oxley section 404; and formation of holding companies, public stock offerings and fraud investigation. Eskew received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. He is a member of the following organizations: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Independent Banks of South Carolina, South Carolina Bankers Association, United Way Young Leader Society, Communities in Schools, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Kris Reed joins the firm’s Charleston office as staff accountant for tax services. Reed received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Maine in Orono, Maine, and a master’s of accountancy degree from the College of Charleston.

Edward Royall joins the firm as a staff accountant for audit services. Royall received a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston. He serves as treasurer of the Benjamin Wyatt Burris Scholarship Fund.
