Elliott Davis and Shred-it Greenville Host Free Public Shredding and Identity Theft Awareness Event on April 16

GREENVILLE, S.C., Feb. 10, 2011 – Shred-it Greenville, which specializes in providing secure on-site document and data destruction and Elliott Davis LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, are joining forces to hold an identity theft awareness; free shredding; and used cell phone collection event for the public on Saturday, April 16 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.

Shred-it employees will be on hand to accept personal documents that people want destroyed in Shred-it’s secure on-site mobile shredders.

In addition, at the event, Elliott Davis and Shred-it will be collecting used cell phones for Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine®, which aims to help victims of domestic violence feel safer and less isolated by giving them a cell phone as a way to call emergency or support services. Collected phones will be completely scrubbed of data and fully refurbished before they are distributed through the program.
