Elliott Davis Adds to Financial Services Team in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 10, 2010 – Elliott Davis, PLLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, is pleased to announce the addition of Jay Brietz as a senior manager in its financial services practice.

Located in the firm’s Charlotte, N.C. office, Brietz brings more than 18 years of experience to his new position. A certified public accountant and certified internal auditor, he will provide assurance and consulting services to financial institutions including external and internal audits, risk management, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

Prior to joining the firm, Brietz served as senior compliance manager for a global banking institution and formerly worked for a Big Four accounting firm as well as another international CPA firm.

Brietz is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the Charlotte chapter’s board of directors. He also is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and serves as a board member for its Charlotte chapter.

Brietz holds an M.S. in accounting from Appalachian State University and a B.A. in economics and speech communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received leadership certification from the Mortgage Bankers Association and was a member of Leadership Charlotte’s Class of XXV.
