Elliott Davis Adds Senior Manager to Consulting Practice

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Mar. 11, 2011 – Elliott Davis, PLLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, is pleased to announce that Justin A. Boyd has joined its Charlotte, N.C. office as a senior manager in the firm’s consulting practice.

Boyd will provide business valuation and litigation consulting services to clients throughout the Southeast. Previously employed by a global accounting firm, his seven years of experience includes performing valuations under the fair value concepts used for financial reporting purposes for public companies, closely-held businesses, business interests and intangible assets. He also has experience calculating economic damages in litigation matters, as well as participating in forensic investigations.

The industries in which Boyd has performed valuation services include manufacturing, transportation, retail, financial services, healthcare, professional services, telecommunications and automotive.

“There are signs of the economy improving and cash that has been sitting on the sidelines will be used by both financial buyers and strategic buyers to propel the market forward,” said Jay Gibson, CPA/ABV, CVA, shareholder and chair of Elliott Davis’ business valuation practice. “Justin will assist companies by helping them with allocating purchase price, stock options and other valuation issues related to the projected increased deal flow.”

Boyd is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists. He is currently a Level III candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Boyd received his B.S. in Psychology and Business Administration from the Delta College Program at the State University of New York at Brockport.
