Elliott Davis, LLC Adds Shareholders

Thomas (Tom) D. Childers Jr., and Timothy (Tim) A. Grow Admitted to Shareholder Group

GREENVILLE, S.C., Jul. 7, 2009 – The Shareholders of Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, have admitted Thomas (Tom) D. Childers Jr., and Timothy (Tim) A. Grow to the firm’s shareholder group, bringing the total number of Elliott Davis shareholders to 50.

Thomas (Tom) D. Childers Jr. has been admitted to the shareholder group in Elliott Davis’ Greenville, S.C. office. Childers serves as the firm’s director of quality control for assurance services, where he is responsible for assisting in the design and maintenance of quality control policies and procedures, and the implementation of procedures required by the program.

A certified public accountant in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, Childers has over nineteen years experience specializing in assurance, quality control and risk management issues for the firm.

Childers received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA).

Timothy (Tim) A. Grow, a certified public accountant in South Carolina, brings more than twelve years of public accounting experience to his role as shareholder in the firm’s Myrtle Beach, S.C. office.

Prior to being appointed shareholder, Grow served as assurance and advisory senior manager in the firm’s Columbia and Myrtle Beach, S.C. offices. In Myrtle Beach, he will continue to serve as assurance leader and provide comprehensive assurance and advisory services and management consulting services to a diverse client base which includes construction, manufacturing, not-for-profit entities, assisted living facilities, school districts and governmental industries. Grow has extensive experience with projects related to the Department of Housing and Urban Development including audits of the multi-housing industry, cost certifications for both mortgagors and contractors and various consulting projects.

He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a masters of accountancy degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C.

Grow is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA), Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), and Surfside Rotary Club.

Lee A. Wagner Joins the Firm’s Assurance and Advisory Department as Senior Associate

Wagner as assurance and advisory senior associate in the firm’s Greenwood, S.C. office. Wagner, a certified public accountant in Virginia and Washington DC, brings more than three years of public accounting and Yellowbook (government auditing standards) experience to his new role at Elliott Davis. His responsibilities include audits of government financial statements for the firm’s clients. Prior to joining Elliott Davis in June 2009, Wagner served as a senior associate with KPMG’s Washington, D.C. office.

Ira Bedenbaugh Serves as Guest Speaker for Coastal, Spartanburg and Sumter Chapters

GREENVILLE, S.C., May 29, 2009 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, announced that firm Principal Ira Bedenbaugh recently served as a guest speaker for the Coastal, Spartanburg and Sumter chapters of the South Carolina Healthcare Managers Association in May 2009.

On May 19, Bedenbaugh served as the guest speaker at the Coastal chapter of the SCHMA in Myrtle Beach, S.C. His presentation, “Are You Battle Weary?” addressed how office managers deal with stress in the medical practice.

On May 13, Bedenbaugh spoke to an audience of over 35 healthcare managers at the Spartanburg SCHMA meeting about how to facilitate change in a medical practice.

Bedenbaugh served as a guest speaker at the Sumter SCHMA annual seminar on May 12. His presentation titled “Insurance Companies!” focused on helping healthcare managers understand the intricacies of negotiating managed care contracts with insurance companies.

As the leader of Elliott Davis’s medical practices group, Bedenbaugh focuses on helping physician practices and hospitals improve how they manage short and long-term financial and operational challenges. His responsibilities include analyzing physician practice infrastructure, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing workflow processes and technologies that increase business performance and address government compliance issues.

Bedenbaugh served previously as a principal of Protime LLC, a medical management consulting firm, and the practice administrator of The Family Healthcare Center.

Virginia M. Allen joins the Charleston office as staff accountant for audit and assurance services. Liz Oates to Manage New Client Initiatives in Charleston, S.C. Market

CHARLESTON, S.C., Mar. 11, 2009 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, announces the addition of Liz Oates as business development manager in the firm’s Charleston office.

Oates will be responsible for developing business relationships and generating new client revenue for the firm in the Charleston market. She will report directly to Chief Marketing Officer, Denise Reis.

Oates has more than twelve years experience marketing accounting, tax and consulting services in the Southeast. Prior to joining Elliott Davis in January 2009, Oates served as business development and marketing manager for accounting firm Dixon Hughes, PLLC’s Charleston office.
