Green Tax Savings and Form 1099 Reporting Highlighted by Elliott Davis in “Greater Charlotte Biz”
Elliott Davis Shareholder Dan Warren, CPA and Senior Manager Jack Schmoll, CPA focused on two timely tax topics in the June issue of Greater Charlotte Biz Magazine. Warren’s article “Expanded Form 1099 Reporting Requirements Repealed” detailed the recent signing of the 1099 Taxpayer Protection and Repayment of Exchange Subsidy Overpayments Act of 2011, which repealed the expansion of Form 1099 reporting under 2010’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and Small Business Jobs Act. Schmoll’s article “Going Green Can Yield Tax Savings” discusses how many business are “going green” in response to increased energy costs and the U.S. dependence on foreign oil.
